The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hohenheim looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Trice slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Hohenheim throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Trice works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hohenheim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hohenheim wants to control from the top but Trice keeps moving.
Hohenheim looking to sit in guard and control but Trice gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Trice thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Trice prevents Hohenheim from improving his position.
Trice slows the pace down in half guard.
Trice stops Hohenheim from getting back to his feet.

Trice's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Obie Trice has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Hohenheim tries to clinch up but Trice circles away and keeps his distance.
Hohenheim tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Trice manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hohenheim scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Trice tries to get back to half guard but can't.
