The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skallagrimsson throws a shot from downtown. Skrtic moves away and avoids it.
Skallagrimsson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Skrtic swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Skallagrimsson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Skrtic checks it well.
Skallagrimsson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Skrtic misses with a few strikes there.

Skrtic has managed to clinch.
Skallagrimsson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Skrtic wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Skallagrimsson has him pressed against the ropes.

Skrtic drops back looking for a leg! Skallagrimsson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Skallagrimsson manages to kick Skrtic off! Skrtic jumps back into Skallagrimsson's guard.

and Skrtic counters with a left and a right that stings Skallagrimsson.
Skallagrimsson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

and Skrtic counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Skrtic fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

It looks like Petr Skrtic has been cut.
Skrtic takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Skrtic comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Petr Skrtic will probably get the nod.
