Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White misses with a double jab.
White steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Johnson. That one must have hurt.
Johnson tries to clinch up.
Johnson stuffs the takedown.

White tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
White fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

White has Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

White parries the strikes from Johnson easily there. Johnson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable White to escape.
White tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Johnson gets to mount! White was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

White is looking to improve his position but Johnson isn't that keen on the idea.
White is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

White manages to regain half guard. Good work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

White tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnson was well out of range. Poor timing from White.
White misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

White has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.
White lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Johnson backwards.
Johnson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
White tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Johnson is looking to control White's arms but White gets an underhook and turns him. Now Johnson has his back to the cage.

Johnson pushes off an throws an elbow but White leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

White is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Johnson to keep the fight standing.
Johnson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. White is defending well for now.
White lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - White screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
