Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Troy Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Pounder!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Warner moves into range and clinches up with Pounder.
Pounder misses with a short punch on the inside.
Pounder tries to break free but Warner pushes him back against the cage.

Warner has hold of one of Pounder's legs. Pounder is fighting the takedown attempt but Warner gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Warner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Pounder has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Warner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Warner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pounder working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Warner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Warner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Warner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Pounder has his foot on Warner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Warner works his way back into a safe position though.
Warner wants to control from the top but Pounder keeps moving.

Pounder had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Warner defends it easily.
Warner keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pounder's head.

Pounder looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Pounder working for a triangle but Warner defends it easily.
Warner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Warner is sitting in close to Pounder's body. Pounder has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Warner is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Warner is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Pounder.
