The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams looks to throw the jab but Phoenix is out of range.
Phoenix moves out of range of the strikes.
Adams throws a lazy uppercut
and Phoenix counters with a right hand to the body.
Adams throws an off balance right hand
and Phoenix counters with a left and a right that stings Adams.
Phoenix lands with an overhand left.
Phoenix scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Phoenix tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Adams misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Adams misses with a lunging right hand
and Phoenix counters with a straight right hand.
Phoenix moves in looking to clinch but Adams pushes him off.
Adams throws a jab but it's blocked by Phoenix .
Adams throws a combination. Phoenix tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Simon Phoenix has been cut.
Phoenix moves away from the strike by Adams.
Phoenix lands a glancing blow to the side of Adams's head.
Phoenix doesn't manage to clinch there - Adams circles away.

Adams tries to keep at a distance but Phoenix has taken the fight into the clinch.
Phoenix blocks a body shot from Adams.
Adams tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Adams misses with a punch on the inside.

Phoenix breaks the clinch.
Phoenix uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Adams.
Adams is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Phoenix .
Phoenix misses with a series of wild punches.
Adams misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Adams misses with an uppercut

and Phoenix counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Phoenix is trying to break the clinch but Adams is controlling him.
Adams is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Phoenix is keeping busy.
Phoenix wants to get back to striking at distance but Adams won't allow it.

Phoenix 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Phoenix lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Phoenix is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Phoenix moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Adams has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Lawrance Adams has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Phoenix lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Phoenix smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Phoenix wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Adams walks into a stiff left hand from Phoenix .

Adams is rocked!
Phoenix drops Adams with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Adams! Phoenix dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

After winning the bout, Simon Phoenix thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
