Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vin Ner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kevin Petrovic!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrovic tries to clinch there but Ner circles away.

Ner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Petrovic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ner swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Petrovic shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ner as he jumps to the side.

Ner moves into the clinch.
Petrovic changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ner fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Ner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ner throws a sloppy head kick and Petrovic moves out of range easily.

Ner drives through and clinches with Petrovic against the cage.
Ner blocks an elbow strike from Petrovic.
Petrovic looking to slow down the pace here.
Petrovic is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Vin Ner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Petrovic.
Petrovic tries to pull guard but Ner won't allow it.
Petrovic wants to break the clinch but can't.

Petrovic drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ner manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Petrovic has Ner in his guard.

Ner with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Petrovic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Petrovic throws a strike but Ner avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ner is on top in guard.
Ner forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Petrovic is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Petrovic moves into full guard.

Ner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Petrovic working for a triangle but Ner defends it easily.
Ner has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Petrovic looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ner has picked Petrovic up and slammed him! Petrovic can't keep hold of the triangle and Ner manages to pass to side control!

Ner jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Petrovic manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Ner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Petrovic tries to improve his position but Ner has taken his back! Ner has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Petrovic tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Ner pushes Petrovic away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
