The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yolden stuffs the takedown attempt from Ware. Ware gets slowly back to his feet.
Yolden tries for a takedown but Ware sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Yolden fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ware is looking to clinch but Yolden is avoiding it.
Ware with a poor takedown

and Yolden counters with a takedown into side control.
Yolden tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Yolden is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ware is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Yolden looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Ware tries to buck Yolden off but Yolden is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ware is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Yolden tries to advance to mount but can't.
Ware should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ware tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Yolden wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Ware's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ware shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Yolden's guard.

Yolden pushes a forearm under Ware's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ware is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
