Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raul Decampo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raul Decampo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maximus Meridius!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Decampo blocks the low kick.
Meridius leaves Decampo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Meridius stuffs the takedown attempt from Decampo. Decampo gets slowly back to his feet.
Meridius cracks the inside of Decampo's front leg.
Decampo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Meridius counters with a head kick that drops Decampo!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raul Decampo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Meridius drops an elbow to the side of Decampo's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Meridius is looking for a kimura here.

Decampo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Decampo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Meridius defends it easily.

Decampo is wriggling around trying to escape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Decampo manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Meridius is taking a breather. Decampo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Meridius is keen to just control but Decampo is a slippery customer.
Meridius has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maximus Meridius dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Meridius circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Decampo drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Meridius follows Decampo to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
