The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie feints a jab promting Pope to slip. Gracie then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pope slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Gracie feints and then cracks Pope's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pope down.
Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pope defends it nicely.

Pope scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Gracie has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Pope. Oh but Gracie has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Pope goes limp - he's gone! Gracie jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
