PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between TJ Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Chainsaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Welsh comes to the cage accompanied by Lets Have A War. Chainsaw has chosen Give Me Everything -Pitbull/ as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chainsaw gets tackled into the cage by Welsh. Welsh maintains the clinch.
Chainsaw looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Welsh is stalling here.
Chainsaw is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Welsh putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Chainsaw in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Welsh breaks the clinch.
Welsh fails to land the takedown.
Chainsaw throws a nice looking combination but Welsh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Welsh fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chainsaw to the ground. Welsh is now in Chainsaw's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Welsh is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Welsh throwing strikes from guard but Chainsaw blocks nicely.
Welsh with a flurry of punches that miss.
Welsh slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Welsh postures up in Chainsaw's guard and throws a big left but Chainsaw blocks it.

Chainsaw is working an open guard so Welsh takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Chainsaw is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Welsh.
Chainsaw can't find room to land a body shot as Welsh controls the action.

Welsh manages to break the clinch.

Welsh closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chainsaw did well to prevent Welsh getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Welsh passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Chainsaw!

Welsh looking to secure an arm triangle but Chainsaw defends it well.

Welsh has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Chainsaw's face.
Chainsaw is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Welsh is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Chainsaw has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Welsh tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Chainsaw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Welsh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Welsh working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Chainsaw turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Welsh off and cradles Chainsaw's limp body as Welsh celebrates with his corner.

A less than humble TJ Welsh misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
