The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock throws a jab when Gray was well out of range.
Rock will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Gray checks a leg kick nicely.
Rock loads up on a big right hand but Gray slips the punch.

Gray tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rock sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gray somewhat.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rock cracks Gray with a good jab.
Rock has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Rock fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gray has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gray has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rock has managed to get both his arms back between Gray's legs - danger averted.
