Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nick Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz tries to keep at a distance but Lifeson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lifeson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lifeson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaz is trying to buck Lifeson off.
Lifeson is working Diaz over with some ground and pound from side control.
Diaz is pushing Lifeson's head away, looking to escape. Lifeson manages to hold on to the position though.
Diaz is letting Lifeson control him for a moment.
Diaz is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lifeson is controlling him well.
Diaz is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Lifeson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Diaz down.
Lifeson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lifeson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Diaz is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Diaz takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Lifeson lands an elbow.
Lifeson advances to full mount.
Lifeson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Lifeson working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Diaz looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Lifeson! Submission of the night perhaps?

Alex Lifeson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
