These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from King lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Linhares has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Linhares and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
King staying out of range there.
Linhares scores with a head kick. King tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Kong King has been cut.
Linhares moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Linhares.

Luis Carlos Linhares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd cheers as Linhares lands an impressive looking overhand right. King doesn't seem phased though.
Linhares displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as King throws out the jab.

Linhares has hold of King's hands but King slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Linhares is pressing down on King's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

King is sitting in close to Linhares's body. Linhares has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! King is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, King is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Linhares.
