The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miranda looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Norling shoots for a takedown but Miranda saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Norling is defended easily by Miranda.

Norling shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Norling showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Norling is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Miranda reverses the position - he's now on top in Norling's guard.
Norling pulls Miranda in close to prevent any damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sebastian Norling.
Norling avoids the body shot from Miranda.

Miranda scores with a head kick. Norling tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Miranda is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Norling takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sebastian Norling wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Miranda looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Norling throws a nice looking combination but Miranda bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Miranda lands with an overhand left.

That was a close round but I would say that Sebastian Norling will probably get the nod.

Oooooh!!! Miranda has knocked Norling down with a huge combo! Miranda steps away and waves a wobbly Norling back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Norling seems to have got his legs back now.
Norling shoots for a double leg takedown but Miranda sprawls well. He's pushed Norling's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Carlos Miranda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miranda lands a brutal head kick. Norling looks out on his feet and Miranda throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Carlos Miranda decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
