Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Alaniz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alaniz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Slippin. Charlie Alaniz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Alaniz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Alaniz keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Alaniz trying to mount his opponent but Jones defends it.

Alaniz wants to work for an arm triangle but Jones is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Alaniz is looking for a kimura but Jones is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Alaniz to get the leverage.

Alaniz looks up at the clock and then as Jones takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Alaniz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Alaniz is staying tight to Jones's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Alaniz wants to stand but Jones is controlling his arm.
Alaniz is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jones is looking to reverse the position.

A relieved looking Charlie Alaniz thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
