PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Martijn Van Der Graaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam De Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolf has chosen Johnny Cash - Hurt as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Sam De Wolf enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Martijn Van Der Graaf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam De Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf works over Van Der Graaf's head and body with a nice combination.

Wolf has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Van Der Graaf is trying to keep an underhook but Wolf manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Van Der Graaf throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wolf's waist but Wolf gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Van Der Graaf off to one side.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sam De Wolf hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Van Der Graaf changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wolf tries to avoid it but Van Der Graaf manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wolf to the ground. Wolf escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Well Wolf has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
