Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Ventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Andre Hardy has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ventura clinches up with Hardy and pushes him back against the cage.
Hardy wants to stall.
Hardy has a couple of punches blocked by Ventura.

Ventura has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hardy clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ventura lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Ventura.
Hardy is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Ventura.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
It looks like Ventura might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Hardy pushes Ventura off and gets back to his feet.
Ventura dives in and grabs Hardy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hardy pushes down on Ventura's head and hops out.

Ventura manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hardy on his heels. He'll look to pass Hardy's guard now, I'm sure.
Hardy wants to stand up but Ventura is controlling him.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ventura tries to free his leg and advance position but Hardy is retaining full guard.

Hardy is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ventura is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hardy to the mat. Hardy regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Hardy really wants to buck Ventura off and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ventura postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Hardy in real trouble here! The ref calls for Hardy to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
