The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Justice fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Justice throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dengel's waist but Dengel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Justice off to one side.
Justice bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dengel tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dengel can't do much from the bottom here.
Dengel tries to bench press Justice off him but Justice keeps the position.
You can see the frustration on Dengel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Dengel is looking to reverse the position.
Dengel wants to get back to his feet but Justice drags him back down.
Justice wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dengel, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dengel is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Justice is controlling him well.
Dengel tries to bench press Justice off him but Justice keeps the position.
