Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samko Kahric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kahric kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is BHF. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Liddell!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kahric shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side.
Kahric tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Liddell swivels and escapes.
Kahric will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kahric gets caught flat footed, as Liddell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Liddell's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Liddell continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.

Chuck Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kahric is breathing heavily.
Liddell ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Liddell moves into range and clinches up with Kahric.

Kahric tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Liddell just stands there and leans against the cage.

Liddell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kahric gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Liddell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Liddell closes the distance but Kahric moves to the side
and Kahric counters with a left and a right that stings Liddell.

Kahric tries to keep at a distance but Liddell has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kahric tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Liddell smiles and moves away.

Liddell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Liddell cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
