Windstein has chosen Electric Wizard - Dopethrone as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Kirk Windstein enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Windstein as Carano shoots in.
Windstein tries to clinch there but Carano circles away.
Windstein is looking to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Carano or perhaps it was just good defense by Windstein which made him look bad.
Windstein misses with a wild body shot.
Windstein looks for a takedown but Carano sprawls well.
Windstein fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Windstein moves in looking to clinch but Carano pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Windstein counters with a shoot takedown. Carano fights it but they end up in guard.

Carano controls Windstein momentarily but Windstein frees himself.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Carano manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Windstein wants to control but Carano is having none of it.

Carano goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Windstein turns into him and now he's in Carano's guard.
Windstein wants to control from the top but Carano keeps moving.
Windstein trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Windstein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Carano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Windstein doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Carano is tightening it up a little... Windstein has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Windstein reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Windstein taps out! nice BJJ there by Carano!
