Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Memember me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Let The Bodies Hit The Floor as his entrance music. Memember me looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Joseph Jones!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
me blocks a head kick by Jones.

Jones looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but me is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jones throws a big right hand that misses.
Jones wants to control from the top but me keeps moving.
Jones wants to pass the guard but me is keeping the position.

Jones wants to stand but me is controlling his posture from full guard.

Joseph Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. me can't fight it off and eventually Jones manages to take the fight to the floor. me looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
me wants to hit a switch here but Jones passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for me there!

Jones has control of me's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and me regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jones trying to control but me is having none of it.
me tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away.

Jones landing strikes from the mount.
Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Jones content just to control the position here.
me tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.

Jones throwing strikes here but me is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

me biding his time here by controlling the hands, looking to escape.

You can see the frustration on me's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Joseph Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but me is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Joseph Jones decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
