Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bert Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bert Howard!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Howard shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Howard is in close to Hunt's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Howard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Howard has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Howard fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hunt does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Howard feints and as Hunt raises his hands in defense, Howard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunt looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Howard is defending well. Hunt quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Howard has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Hunt celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
