PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dulsan Kuciak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Danski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dulsan Kuciak has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dulsan Kuciak seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kuciak has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A left lands for Danski.
Kuciak lets loose with a powerful body kick. Danski will feel that in the morning.
Kuciak shoots for a takedown but Danski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Danski throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Danski checks a leg kick nicely.

Danski fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kuciak, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Danski breaks from the clinch.
Danski throws a hook but Kuciak avoids it easily.
Kuciak shoots for a double leg takedown but Danski sprawls well. He's pushed Kuciak's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Danski feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kuciaks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Danski.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kuciak manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Danski wants to take a breather but Kuciak is having none of it.

Danski decides to return to a standing position.

Kuciak closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kuciak stands up and beckons Danski to his feet.
Danski bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kuciak's head.

Danski connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kuciak some visible discomfort.

Danski stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Kuciak tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Danski swivels and escapes.
Kuciak could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Danski has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Danski tries to work over Kuciak's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Kuciak throws an elbow that misses.
Danski lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A frustrated look appears on Kuciak's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Danski lands a hook that snaps the head of Kuciak backwards.

Kuciak wants to get up but he can't break Danski's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kuciak won't allow Danski to sweep him here.
Danski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Danski tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Danski manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Danski looks to land a combination but Kuciak avoids it well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Danski loads up on a big right hand but Kuciak slips the punch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Kuciak tries to clinch but Danski is having none of it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Danski closes the distance and pushes Kuciak back into the cage.

Danski jumps guard but Kuciak stands there with Danski around his waist. Danski gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kuciak tries to stall but Danski uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Danski keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kuciak's efforts to push away.

Danski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kuciak throws a sloppy head kick and Danski moves out of range easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
I wouldn't like to be where Kuciak is right now.
You can see the frustration on Kuciak's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kuciak is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Danski asserts his dominance and retains side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kuciak darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Danski is looking to control Kuciak's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Danski avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kuciak in particular looking to stall.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kuciak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Danski can do anything to dispel that myth.

Danski leaves Kuciak with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kuciak tries to clinch but Danski is having none of it.

Danski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kuciak regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Danski.
Kuciak wants to get back to his feet but Danski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well Danski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
