Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henry Ngo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Paxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paxton has chosen Advance Australia Fair as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paxton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Ngo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Paxton but Paxton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Paxton fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ngo on the side of the head.
Ngo shoots in looking for a takedown. Paxton tries to sprawl out of it but Ngo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Paxton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ngo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Paxton, who protects the arm well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Paxton manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Paxton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ngo wants to pass to mount but Paxton is defending the position.

Ngo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Paxton is looking for a sweep. Ngo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ngo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Paxton tries to kick Ngo off but Ngo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Paxton is looking to escape.
Paxton wants to sweep but Ngo has passed to side control!

Ngo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Paxton has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Ngo has control of Paxton's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Paxton regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Paxton regains half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ngo wants to pass to mount but Paxton is defending the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ngo is working for a kimura but Paxton is defending it quite comfortably.

That was a close round but I would say that Henry Ngo will probably get the nod.

Paxton works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A decent looking cross lands there for Paxton.
Ngo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Paxton is fending him off so far but Ngo persists. Nope, Paxton circles away and we're back to standing.
Paxton's corner calls for a 1-2. Paxton obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Ngo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Paxton connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ngo's hands.

Paxton bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ngo's head backwards.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ngo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Horrible takedown by Ngo or perhaps it was just good defense by Paxton which made him look bad.
Oh Ngo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Paxton drops Ngo with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Ngo! Paxton dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
