Beniot comes to the cage accompanied by Our Lady in Peace-Whatever. Chris Beniot has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beniot swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Couture counters with a one-two to the body.
Couture keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Couture takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Couture throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beniot.
Beniot shoots in but Couture avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Beniot scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Beniot sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Couture defending well though.
Couture gets back to full guard.
Beniot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Beniot throws an elbow that misses. Couture uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Beniot's guard. Nice move by Couture!

Couture wants to stand but Beniot is controlling his posture from full guard.

Beniot looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Beniot is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Couture defends well.
Beniot tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beniot has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Couture should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Beniot has tightened it up now! Couture should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
