The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miodek doesn't manage to clinch there - Ferraz circles away.
Ferraz falls off balance throwing a combination

and Miodek counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Miodek.

Ferraz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Miodek moves in looking to clinch but Ferraz pushes him off.
Miodek dives in and grabs Ferraz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ferraz pushes down on Miodek's head and hops out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Miodek wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ferraz keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Ferraz throws a series of punches but Miodek avoids them all with ease.
Miodek just misses with a punch to the body.
Miodek tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ferraz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Miodek stuns Ferraz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ferraz misses with a double jab

and Miodek counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Miodek is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Ferraz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miodek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Miodek working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Ferraz turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Miodek off and cradles Ferraz's limp body as Miodek celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Samson Miodek!
