The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorhalla tries a low kick but Harkimo avoids it.
Thorhalla moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Thorhalla throws a wild body kick that Harkimo sees coming a mile off.
Keijo Harkimo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harkimo throws a head kick that misses.

Thorhalla jabs Harkimo to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Thorhalla does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Thorhalla throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Harkimo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Harkimo swings for the body but Thorhalla moves out of range.
Harkimo tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Thorhalla manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harkimo tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Thorhalla manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Harkimo is rocked!
Thorhalla is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Harkimo flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Harkimo is out cold! Thorhalla holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
