The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Master lands a glancing blow to the side of Valsquez's head.
Valsquez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Master as he avoids it easily.
Valsquez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Master can do anything to dispel that myth.
Valsquez thows a huge punch but Master dodges it nicely.
Valsquez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Master knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Master wants to control but Valsquez is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Valsquez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Master with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Master really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valsquez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Master is rocked!
Valsquez is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Master is hurt! He's hurt bad - Valsquez fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Master from any more punishment! Congratulations to Valsquez! Great finish!
