Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Bratts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Vincent Powell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Bratts!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bratts scores with a spinning back kick!
Bratts lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Powell sprawling to the canvas. Bratts follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Powell hang on?


Powell is rocked!
Bratts tries to stand but can't do so whilst Powell controls his leg.
Oh Powell is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bratts is tying to control. Powell wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Powell seems to have got his legs back now.
Powell is pressing down on Bratts's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bratts wants to control from the top but Powell keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bratts sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Powell's guard.
Bratts lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bratts passes the guard and advances to mount!
Powell can't escape the position.

Bratts is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Powell is surviving well by controlling Bratts's body position as best he can.
Powell can't escape the position.
Bratts wants to control the pace but Powell is squirming around nicely.
Powell is wriggling around trying to escape.
Powell gets back to half guard.
Powell is breathing heavily.
Bratts seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Powell is looking for a sweep. Bratts is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bratts tries to stand and escape but Powell is controlling the position.
Bratts trying to control the action but Powell is working from the bottom.
Bratts is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Powell tries to get to full guard but Bratts has control of the leg.
Powell flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Bratts trying to control the action but Powell is working from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bratts scores with a leg kick.
Bratts lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bratts tries to clinch but Powell moves out of range.
Powell fails with the takedown.
Bratts is looking to clinch but Powell is avoiding it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bratts clinches up against the cage.
Bratts lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bratts lands a nice knee to the body.
Bratts landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Bratts leaning his opponent against the cage.

Bratts manages to break the clinch.
Powell has a takedown stuffed.
Powell has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Bratts fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Powell takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bratts fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Powell, pushing him back against the cage.

Bratts pulls Powell into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bratts had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Powell is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bratts Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Powell's back instead.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Bratts controlling the positon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Bratts dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Bratts connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Jack Bratts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Powell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bratts circles away.
Bratts tries to close the distance and clinch but Powell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bratts shoots in but Powell avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Powell crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bratts - the referee stops the clock and Powell gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bratts. Powell manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Bratts is looking to clinch but Powell is avoiding it.

Bratts ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bratts no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bratts manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bratts trying to control but Powell is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bratts controlling from the full mount.
Bratts sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Powell is wriggling around trying to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bratts is working for a guillotine from mount but Powell frees his head quite easily.
Powell is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bratts looking to ground and pound but Powell is blocking nicely.
Powell is trying to escape the mount.
Powell tries to hold on but Bratts pushes him away.
Bratts unloads with some shots from mount but Powell bucks and avoids them well.
Powell is in all sorts of trouble here.
Bratts trying to control but Powell is having none of it.
Bratts throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Bratts thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bratts tries to control but Powell wriggling away.
Powell is trying desperately to improve position.
Bratts with a couple of short strikes.
Bratts trying to control but Powell is having none of it.
The referee warns Powell that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bratts prevents Powell from getting the reversal.
Powell is squirming around, avoiding Bratts's attempts to control the action.
Powell is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Powell is working to get back to half guard.
Powell is working hard here to advance position.
Bratts trying to control but Powell is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bratts looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Bratts showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Bratts goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Powell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bratts's waist but Bratts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Powell off to one side.
Bratts lands a head kick!
Bratts tries to clinch but Powell moves out of range.
Powell takes one to the side of the head.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bratts lands a right hand that snaps the head of Powell backwards.

Bratts breaks the clinch.
Bratts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Powell closes the distance and clinches up with Bratts, looking for a takedown. Powell pushes Bratts against the cage but Bratts circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bratts lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Bratts tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Powell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bratts fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Bratts fails with the takedown

and Powell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bratts won't be happy with that.
Bratts gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Bratts is trying to control but can't.
Bratts is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Powell is staying active.
Powell passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bratts!
The referee warns Bratts that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Powell landing strikes, looking to finish!
Bratts prevents Powell from taking his back.
Bratts is wriggling around trying to escape.

Powell goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bratts is on top in guard.
Bratts stopping the sweep attempt from Powell.

Powell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bratts trying to control but Powell is working from the bottom.

Bratts avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bratts drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bratts jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bratts stands up from Powell's guard - Bratts perhaps looking for a knockout.
Vincent Powell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bratts tries to close the distance and clinch up but Powell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Powell fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Powell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick misses from Powell.
Bratts cracks the inside of Powell's front leg.
Powell shoots in for a takedown but Bratts shows good takedown defense.
Powell walks into a left hand.
Bratts lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Bratts lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bratts.
Powell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Bratts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bratts has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
