The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hielscher misses with a body shot.
Hielscher looks to land a left hand but Miles moved out of range nicely.

Hielscher throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Miles, right into the meat.

Miles lands a left and a right that send Hielscher crashing to the mat, dazed. Miles thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Miles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hielscher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Miles will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Miles lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hielscher at a distance.

Miles wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Miles closes the distance and pushes Hielscher back into the cage.

Miles lands with a thumping leg kick.

Miles feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hielscher sprawling to the canvas! Hielscher rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Miles finish him?!

Hielscher is rocked!
Hielscher on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Oh Hielscher is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Miles has cracked Hielscher with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Miles lands another huge swinging hook and Hielscher tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Hielscher, before Miles can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ian Miles!
