PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yorgi Cohen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cohen comes to the cage accompanied by Prison Sex. The crowd seem to be enjoying Freeman's choice of entrance music: Thrift Shop. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Freeman!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman misses with a body kick.
Cohen chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Freeman shoots in and drives through. Cohen sprawls well.
Freeman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cohen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Freeman tries to clinch there but Cohen circles away.
Cohen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cohen throws a nice looking combination but Freeman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Yorgi Cohen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cohen moves into the clinch successfully.
Freeman tries to pull guard but Cohen holds him up against the cage and eventually Freeman drops back down to his feet.
Freeman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cohen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Yorgi Cohen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Freeman.
Freeman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Freeman tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Nice body punch from Cohen.
Freeman wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cohen blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Freeman jumps guard but Cohen stands there with Freeman around his waist. Freeman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Freeman's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Freeman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cohen just stands there and leans against the cage.
Nice body punch from Cohen.
Freeman looks winded!
Cohen pushes Freeman back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Freeman wants to stall.
Cohen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Freeman.
Cohen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Cohen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Freeman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cohen walks away with a smile on his face. Freeman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Cohen closes the distance and clinches.
Freeman avoids the elbow strike from Cohen, against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Cohen scores with a nice short uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cohen works on Freeman's body with a couple of short punches.
A right hand to the body from Cohen.

Cohen gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Freeman regains guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cohen controls from within his opponent's guard.
Cohen connects with a couple of short punches.
Cohen looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Freeman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Yorgi Cohen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Freeman tries to move into range but Cohen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Cohen lands with a nice body punch.
A jab from Freeman misses.

Cohen feints and as Freeman raises his hands in defense, Cohen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cohen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cohen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cohen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Freeman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Cohen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Freeman is striking from the bottom but Cohen uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Freeman is not content to let Cohen control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cohen controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yorgi Cohen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cohen lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Chris Freeman has been cut.
Yorgi Cohen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cohen lands a slapping body shot.
Freeman has a takedown stuffed.
Cohen clobbers Freeman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cohen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Cohen throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Freeman colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Cohen as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Freeman is left battered and dazed whilst Cohen and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yorgi Cohen!
