PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Feliciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Feliciano comes into the arena with Brooklyn We Go Hard blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Feliciano throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
No luck for Daniels with that takedown attempt.
Feliciano lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Daniels backs up against the cage.
Feliciano fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Daniels looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Feliciano will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Feliciano looks to land a combination but Daniels avoids it well.

Feliciano cracks Daniels with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Daniels tries to close the distance and clinch but Feliciano swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Feliciano goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Daniels feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Daniels lands a nice short elbow.

Daniels changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Feliciano tries to avoid it but Daniels manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Feliciano to the ground. Feliciano escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Daniels is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Feliciano can't fight it off and eventually Daniels manages to take the fight to the floor. Feliciano looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Some bone on bone action there as Daniels checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Feliciano throws a low kick, looking for Daniels's leg but Daniels calmly moves out of range.

Daniels closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Feliciano looks like he's trying to stand up.
Daniels throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Feliciano to regain full guard.

Daniels must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Daniels connects with a nice short shot to Feliciano's temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Daniels wants to control but Feliciano is keeping him busy.

Daniels lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Feliciano quite badly. Feliciano pulls Daniels in close trying to recover. Daniels postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Feliciano on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Feliciano doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
