The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards throws a jab when Komodo was well out of range.
Richards shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Komodo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Komodo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Richards was well out of range. Poor timing from Komodo.

Komodo darts in and clinches Richards up against the cage.
Komodo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Richards's efforts to push away.
Komodo lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

It looks like Reed Richards has been cut.

Komodo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Komodo leaves Richards with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Richards shoots in for a takedown but Komodo shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reed Richards. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Richards changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Komodo tries to avoid it but Richards manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Komodo to the ground. Komodo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Komodo throws a sloppy head kick and Richards moves out of range easily.

and Komodo counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Richards shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Komodo sprawls well. Komodo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Richards gets slowly back to his feet.

Richards fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Komodo avoids it really well and circles away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Komodo.

Komodo rushes Richards and presses him up against the cage.

Komodo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Richards's efforts to push away.

Richards is pressed against the cage. Komodo pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Richards! Two more big strikes from Komodo and Richards crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

A relieved looking Joe Komodo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
