The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Shaka Boy.
Shaka Boy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Shaka Boy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Shaka Boy trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom.

Jackson is trying to get back to half guard.

Shaka Boy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Shaka Boy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shaka Boy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shaka Boy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jackson is looking for a triangle here but Shaka Boy uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jackson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.
