Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Belo Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Homero Lacerda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lacerda has chosen Go Hard as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Belo Me!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Homero Lacerda!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Me fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Me throws a leg kick
and Lacerda counters with a nice uppercut.
Homero Lacerda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lacerda swats away the attempt to clinch by Me.

Me gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lacerda to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Me can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lacerda controls the pace.

Me looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

It looks like Lacerda might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Me tries to bench press Lacerda off him but Lacerda keeps the position.

Lacerda is looking to take a break and control but Me is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lacerda creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Me can't do much from the bottom here.

Me is looking to regain half guard here but Lacerda keeps moving and retains side control.
Me trying to remain calm as Lacerda controls from the top position.
Me takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Lacerda is looking to take a break and control but Me is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Me is trying to get back to half guard.
Me is trying to control Lacerda's posture but Lacerda avoids it.
Lacerda slows the pace down.

Lacerda is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Me is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Me sneaks back into half guard.
Well, if Lacerda is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Lacerda is looking for submissions but instead, Me has regained full guard.
Me controls Lacerda momentarily but Lacerda frees himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Me thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Me throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lacerda escapes and throws Me's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Me is trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Homero Lacerda dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Me doesn't manage to clinch there - Lacerda circles away.
Me tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lacerda lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Me tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lacerda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lacerda shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lacerda showed some decent athleticism there.

Lacerda tries to pass to full mount but Me defends it.

Lacerda prevents Me from standing back up.

Lacerda is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Me is just riding it out for now. Lacerda eventually gives up the hold.
Me is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lacerda takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Lacerda is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Me has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lacerda is working away from the top position though.
Lacerda wants to take a breather but Me is having none of it.
Homero Lacerda has got the better of the ground game so far.

Me is trying to maintain the position but Lacerda is very close to passing his half guard.
Lacerda controlling the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Lacerda tries to land a front kick but Me steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Me closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lacerda counters with a body kick that stops Me in his tracks momentarily.
Lacerda ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Me moves away.

Me takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Me shoots for a double leg takedown but Lacerda sprawls well. He's pushed Me's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lacerda tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Me tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Lacerda cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lacerda misses with an uppercut. Me saw that one coming.

and Me takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lacerda throws a head kick but Me moves out of range.
Lacerda lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Lacerda misses with a straight right.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Me.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Belo Me. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lacerda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Me tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lacerda sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Me somewhat.
Me is looking to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Homero Lacerda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

and Me counters with a good low kick that Lacerda was not able to check.
Lacerda gets off balance looking for a body kick

Lacerda is looking to land body kicks.
The fight stays on the outside here - Me looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Me wants to clinch
and Lacerda counters with an outside leg kick.
Lacerda tries a head kick but it misses.
Me on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Lacerda takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Me doesn't manage to clinch there - Lacerda circles away.
Me is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Me moves out of range of the body kick.
The fighters circling - Lacerda throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Me rushes Lacerda and presses him up against the cage.

Lacerda's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Me walks into a left hand.
Me tries to clinch but Lacerda is having none of it.
Me tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lacerda swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lacerda misses with a hook.
Lacerda tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Lacerda looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Me!

Me is trying to escape the position but Lacerda is controlling the position.
Me is looking to regain half guard here but Lacerda keeps moving and retains side control.
Me is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Me is looking for a sweep.

Lacerda working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lacerda postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Me seems a little lost for a moment, as Lacerda dominates the positioning.
Me wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Me tries to buck Lacerda off but Lacerda is having none of it.
Me is trying to control Lacerda's posture but Lacerda avoids it.
Me is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lacerda off and has taken his back!

Me wants to pass the guard but Lacerda is keeping the position.
Lacerda is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Me is controlling him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Me passes Lacerda's left leg - he's now in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Me is thwarting Lacerda's attempts to control the position.
Homero Lacerda is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Lacerda is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Me is staying active.

Homero Lacerda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lacerda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Homero Lacerda started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
