PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutal Rapist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rapist comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Requiem for a dream kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Fred Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brutal Rapist!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rapist missing with a left hand there. Lee was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lee lands a really nice looking cross but Rapist seems unphased.

It looks like Brutal Rapist has been cut.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rapist crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lee - the referee stops the clock and Rapist gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lee. Rapist manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A head kick misses from Lee.
Lee avoids the body shot from Rapist.
Lee throws a looping overhand right but Rapist ducks down to avoid it.
Rapist missing with a left hand there. Lee was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rapist throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rapist waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lee.
Lee connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rapist moves into the clinch.
Rapist wants a takedown but no success here.
Rapist is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lee pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Lee manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rapist pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lee is keeping the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rapist trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
Lee is controlling Rapist's posture.
Lee wants to sweep here but Rapist controlling him for the moment.
Rapist is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control.

Rapist drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Rapist seems to have locked his on tight now - Lee screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Rapist, as he picks up the win!

During a confident post fight interview, Brutal Rapist thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
