Emelianenko's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Beethoven's Funeral March. Demid Leshenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Emelianenko prevents Leshenko from improving his position.
Emelianenko postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Leshenko to stand up.
Leshenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Leshenko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Emelianenko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Leshenko.
Leshenko trying to mount his opponent but Emelianenko defends it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Emelianenko is not content to let Leshenko control the position.
Leshenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emelianenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Leshenko is looking to advance position but Emelianenko won't allow it.
Leshenko wants to take a breather but Emelianenko is having none of it.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Demid Leshenko has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Emelianenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Leshenko pinned against the cage. Leshenko gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Emelianenko closes the distance and clinches up with Leshenko, looking for a takedown. Emelianenko pushes Leshenko against the cage but Leshenko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Emelianenko is breathing heavily.
No luck for Emelianenko with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Emelianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leshenko just misses with a punch to the body.
