Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, CJ Sime!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Vries fails with the takedown
and Sime counters with a nice body kick.
De Vries tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
De Vries swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sime fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sime leaves De Vries with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sime doesn't succeed with the takedown
and De Vries counters by clinching up.
Sime breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sime avoids the body shot from De Vries.
CJ Sime seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sime has De Vries up against the cage in a clinch.
De Vries blocks an elbow strike from Sime.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sime is trying to stall.
Sime misses with a body punch.
Sime wants a takedown.
CJ De Vries has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of CJ Sime.
De Vries tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sime is trying to drag De Vries to the mat but De Vries just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
De Vries blocks a body shot from Sime.
Sime is trying to break the clinch but De Vries has him pressed against the cage.
De Vries has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sime tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. De Vries just stands there and leans against the cage.

Sime misses with a knee strike.
Sime tries to circle away but De Vries has him pinned against the cage.
De Vries can't get the takedown.
Sime will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning De Vries up against the cage.
Sime pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
De Vries stands and steps away. Sime gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Sime tries a head kick but it misses.
Sime fails with the takedown
and De Vries counters by clinching up.
Sime looks winded!

De Vries manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
De Vries has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sime should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, De Vries has tightened it up now! Sime should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
