Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Spat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans has chosen Everybody Down as his entrance music. Jack Spat has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 22 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Spat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Evans!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spat shoots in and bounces Evans off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Spat trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Spat not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

We're going to have a standup here because Jack Spat wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Evans misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Spat swats away the attempt to clinch by Evans.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A jab from Evans finds it's way through Spat's defenses.
Greg Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Spat looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Evans keeping moving, preventing Spat from controlling successfully.
Spat looking to pass the guard.
Spat looking to sit in guard and control but Evans gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Evans tries to free his leg and advance position but Spat is retaining full guard.
Spat pulls Evans in close to prevent any damage.
Spat manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Spat can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Evans is looking to escape.
Spat controlling the position easily from mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Evans is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Evans is squirming around, avoiding Spat's attempts to control the action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Spat.
Evans moves in looking to clinch but Spat pushes him off.

Evans fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Spat, pushing him back against the cage.
Evans lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Spat misses with a knee to the head.
Evans blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Spat breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Evans wants to clinch

and Spat counters by clinching up.
Evans is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Evans tries a body shot but Spat blocks it.
Spat lands with a short head shot on the inside.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Evans tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Spat makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Spat creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Spat lands a nice shot to the body.
Spat blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Spat tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Evans blocking some punches.

Spat manages to break the clinch.
Spat shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Evans tries to clinch but Spat moves out of range.
Spat shoots in but no luck this time.

Spat gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Spat.
A short left from Evans.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spat throws a knee to the head but misses.
Evans tries to land a knee to the head but Spat blocks with his arms.
Evans makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Spat lands a right hand.
Spat tries to stall but Evans uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Spat dominated that round.
That's time! Spat's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Evans avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Evans displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.


It looks like Jack Spat has been cut.
Evans takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Spat avoids the head kick by Evans.

Spat gets the takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Evans is pushing Spat's head away, looking to escape. Spat manages to hold on to the position though.

Spat is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Evans looks calm but he's in trouble here. Spat gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Evans is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Spat lets go of the hold and Evans can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jack Spat!
During a confident post fight interview, Jack Spat thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
