PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Neal Caffrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ima Punchon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Neal Caffrey has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Neal Caffrey seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Punchon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Punchon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Caffrey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Punchon.

Punchon is pressing down on Caffrey's thigh, looking to free his foot. Caffrey is holding on for now.

Caffrey is looking to control Punchon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Caffrey avoid being mounted?

Punchon is looking to take a break and control but Caffrey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Punchon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caffrey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Caffrey is pressing down on Punchon's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Punchon tries to stand but Caffrey is controlling from the bottom.

Caffrey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Punchon is looking for a sweep. Caffrey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Punchon doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Caffrey throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Punchon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Punchon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Caffrey is one step ahead there.

Punchon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Caffrey's guard.
Caffrey can't keep his opponent in guard - Punchon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Punchon decides to stand and escape the position.
Punchon's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Punchon duly obliges.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Punchon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Caffrey!
Caffrey throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Punchon looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Caffrey is trying to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ima Punchon dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Punchon throws a series of punches but Caffrey moves out of range.
Punchon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Punchon shoots in but Caffrey avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Caffrey misses with a takedown attempt - Punchon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Caffrey takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Neal Caffrey has been cut.
Caffrey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Punchon paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Punchon lands a left and a right that send Caffrey crashing to the mat, dazed. Punchon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Caffrey is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Punchon darts in and clinches Caffrey up against the ropes.
Oh Caffrey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Punchon lands a left hand that snaps the head of Caffrey backwards.
Punchon lands a body punch in the clinch.
Punchon lands with a right to the head.

Punchon manages to break the clinch.
Punchon ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Caffrey out cold! The fight is over!
