Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johannes Metzler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melo Bearbeater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bearbeater has chosen Light em up as his entrance music. Johannes Metzler could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Melo Bearbeater's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johannes Metzler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Melo Bearbeater!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metzler shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bearbeater napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bearbeater is not content to let Metzler control the position.
Bearbeater tries to bench press Metzler off him but Metzler keeps the position.
Metzler throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Metzler remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Metzler scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bearbeater to see if he's OK.

Bearbeater tries to buck Metzler off but Metzler is having none of it.
Metzler connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bearbeater some visible discomfort.
Bearbeater gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Metzler cracks Bearbeater with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bearbeater is rocked!
Bearbeater is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Metzler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bearbeater is squirming around, avoiding Metzler's attempts to control the action.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bearbeater can do anything to dispel that myth.

A big strike lands for Metzler! That's really hurt Bearbeater and he's turned his back - Metzler keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Metzler jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
