The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie feints a jab promting Plantak to slip. Gracie then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Plantak slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Hunter Plantak has been cut.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Plantak scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Gracie can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie regains half guard.
Plantak tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Gracie.

Gracie is looking to control Plantak's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gracie avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie won't allow Plantak to pass to mount.

Plantak prevents Gracie from improving his position.
Plantak works his foot free and advances to mount.
Plantak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gracie is looking to escape.
Plantak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gracie is wriggling around trying to escape.
Plantak tries to control but Gracie wriggling away.
Gracie sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Plantak keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Plantak seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Gracie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gracie.
Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Gracie is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Plantak has his hands clasped together but Gracie extends an breaks Plantak's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gracie.
