The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Otherside takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Alves tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Otherside paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Alves tries to clinch but Otherside is having none of it.
Otherside cracks Alves with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Alves fails in his attempt to clinch.
Alves throws a head kick that misses.
Nice takedown defense from Otherside. No joy for Alves on that attempt.
Alves takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Otherside lands with a hook. Alves tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
