Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Strauss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Dux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strauss comes to the cage accompanied by Shutterbugg - Big Boi Feat. Cutty. Dux has chosen Bloodsport - Fight to Survive as his entrance music. Frank Dux will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Strauss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Dux!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dux shoots in for a takedown but Strauss shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Strauss misses with a right hand

and Dux counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dux wants to pass to mount but Strauss is defending the position.

Dux is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Dux is looking to take a break and control but Strauss is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dux is looking for a kimura but Strauss is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dux to get the leverage.

Dux seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Strauss does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dux is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Strauss is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Strauss tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dux swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Dux has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Strauss finds it's way round the side to connect with Dux's head.

Strauss is looking to clinch but Dux is avoiding it.
Strauss looks to land a right hand but Dux moved out of range.

Strauss throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Dux has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Strauss avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Daniel Strauss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Dux.

Strauss gets through Dux's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Dux wants to take the fight to the mat but Strauss manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Dux goes for a takedown attempt but Strauss pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Strauss throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dux sees it coming and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Frank Dux will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


No joy there for Dux, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Strauss changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Strauss fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dux manages to avoid it.
Strauss needs to keep his hands up - Dux had a free shot at his head there.
Strauss lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dux is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Dux's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Dux has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Strauss clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Dux has got his arm under Strauss's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Strauss has spun round into Dux's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
