The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Monteforte.
Penn Alliance shoots in and drives through. Monteforte sprawls well.
Penn Alliance takes one to the chin there.
Monteforte throws the kick towards the body but Penn Alliance avoids it.
Penn Alliance takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Monteforte throws a series of punches but Penn Alliance avoids them all with ease.
Penn Alliance tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Monteforte throws a body kick that misses.
Monteforte tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Penn Alliance manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Monteforte closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That was a close round but I would say that Clyde Monteforte will probably get the nod.

Penn Alliance is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Monteforte knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Monteforte for a finish.

A head kick from Penn Alliance lands but Monteforte takes it in his stride.

Clyde Monteforte is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Penn Alliance lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Penn Alliance throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Monteforte takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Monteforte tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Penn Alliance changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Monteforte tries to avoid it but Penn Alliance manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Monteforte to the ground. Monteforte escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Penn Alliance.
No luck for Penn Alliance with that takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
