Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adriano Da Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erwin Hartmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hartmann's choice of entrance music: LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Adriano Da Costa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erwin Hartmann!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Costa throws a right hand that Hartmann ducks under and follows up with a left that Hartmann also avoids with ease.

Hartmann rushes Da Costa and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Hartmann misses with a punch to the body.
Da Costa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Oh Da Costa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hartmann has Da Costa pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hartmann pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Da Costa tumbling to the mat - Hartmann dives into Da Costa's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Da Costa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hartmann defends well.

Da Costa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hartmann defends well.

Da Costa has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hartmann has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Da Costa has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Hartmann postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Da Costa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hartmann, into his guard.

Erwin Hartmann showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Hartmann throws a left that rocks Da Costa and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Hartmann dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Da Costa regain composure!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hartmann is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Da Costa to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Da Costa shrugs it off.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hartmann manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Well Hartmann has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
