PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Aurelios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albredo Bastiani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastiani wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Aurelios takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bastiani changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Aurelios throws a head kick that misses.
Bastiani lands a body shot.
Aurelios takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bastiani feints and then cracks Aurelios's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Aurelios down.

and Bastiani counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bastiani lands with a hook. Aurelios tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Bastiani fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aurelios, pushing him back against the cage.

Bastiani tries to stand and escape but Aurelios is controlling the position.
Aurelios is looking for a sweep. Bastiani is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Aurelios flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Bastiani is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Albredo Bastiani was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Bastiani lands with a hook. Aurelios tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and Bastiani counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Aurelios thinking.

and Bastiani counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bastiani uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Aurelios has time to react.
Aurelios takes one on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bastiani throws a combination. Aurelios tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Aurelios looks to clinch
and Bastiani counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bastiani sizes up Aurelios with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Aurelios shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Bastiani ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Bastiani lands a left and a right that send Aurelios crashing to the mat, dazed. Bastiani thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Aurelios is rocked!
Aurelios looks up at the clock. Bad move! Bastiani lands a right hand from hell, dropping Aurelios. Bastiani pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
