Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AJ Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foster has chosen I Still Believe as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foster gets the takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Foster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Machida, who protects the arm well.
Machida is looking to reverse the position.
Machida stops Foster from passing to mount.
Machida manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Machida lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Foster is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Machida pulls his head out easily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Machida accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Machida is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Foster still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Foster has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Machida tries to score a power double leg takedown but Foster sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Machida somewhat.

Foster uses his free foot to push down on Machida's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Machida.

AJ Foster has got the better of the ground game so far.
Foster has the hooks in. Machida is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

AJ Foster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Horrible takedown by Machida or perhaps it was just good defense by Foster which made him look bad.
Machida fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Foster avoids it really well and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Foster will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Foster has his feet on Machida's thighs here. He's pushed Machida off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Machida screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
