Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leo Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Bermudez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigues comes to the ring accompanied by Save My Soul. Bermudez has chosen I'm Shipping Up To Boston as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bermudez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bermudez avoids a punch combination nicely.

Rodrigues takes the fight into the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Bermudez.
Bermudez tries to score a body lock takedown but Rodrigues shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
A right hook to the body lands for Bermudez.

Bermudez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rodrigues misses with a series of wild punches.
Bermudez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Leo Rodrigues has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Bermudez.

Bermudez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rodrigues tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bermudez is in Rodrigues's guard.

Bermudez has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Bermudez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bermudez.
Bermudez is trying to break the clinch but Rodrigues has him pressed against the ropes.
Rodrigues is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Rodrigues drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bermudez pulls his leg out and moves away.

Rodrigues tries to clinch up but Bermudez circles away and keeps his distance.
Bermudez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rodrigues pinned against the ropes. Rodrigues gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rodrigues moves in looking to clinch but Bermudez pushes him off.

Bermudez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bermudez landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Rodrigues is breathing heavily.

Bermudez in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Rodrigues tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Bermudez!
