Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Serega Ukolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Brazilian national anthem by Ill Nino. On his way into the cage it seems that Rickson Gracie has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rickson Gracie seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Serega Ukolov!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ukolov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ukolov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Gracie is looking for a triangle but Ukolov pushes his legs off easily.
Ukolov is looking to work some ground and pound but Gracie has wrist control.
Ukolov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ukolov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ukolov postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Gracie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie controls Ukolov momentarily but Ukolov frees himself.
Gracie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ukolov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ukolov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ukolov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gracie is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Ukolov frees his head nicely. Oh but Gracie has switched to an armbar! Ukolov is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

After winning the bout, Rickson Gracie thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
